The ancient art of eyebrow threading.

Salaam everyone! I don’t know about you, but I am fascinated with the art of eyebrow threading. There is this little Indian market where I do most of my shopping for weekly groceries and while I am shopping around the woman behind the counter is threading eyebrows from time to time. I have always admired her eyebrows and the eyebrows of her clients when she is done! She works so quickly and I love the idea of how simple this hair removal process seems. Waxing is not so earth friendly with all of the waste that has been created by the end of your routine eyebrow shaping and I have always heard that waxing can cause premature aging due to the pulling and tugging of the skin. Maybe a myth, I don’t know?? Tweezing I have been doing for years, but have secretly wanted to become a master eyebrow threader! I have been watching threading tutorials on you tube, how cheesy am I? But I am determined to learn how to master this ancient art. My goal is to offer threading to all of my clients of Make-up Envy (my Denver makeup artist company), because your eyebrows are so very important and really create a frame for your beautiful face! When doing someones makeup I spend a good couple of minutes perfecting their eyebrows to create more of flawless look. Below are a couple of videos that I pulled from you tube that you might enjoy. Happy threading!

Thank you for commenting! It is much better than tweezing the brow and can be very precise. I have been practicing today:)

I shall have to try this !! Actually, you can practice on me!!
I like any type of massage motion on my face and this practice seems very soothing. The face has so many little nerves and muscles and this practice is synonymous to a chiropractic adjustment on the spine. It is like mini little adjustments to the face!!!! I want to try this soooo bad!!!!

i’ve been doing threading myself on facial areas for about 7 years and i find it be safer eventhough there’s a little pain involved; it’s better than waxing because i got acne on my face once by waxing. also u can’t get the perfect shape of eyebrows by waxing. o and ladies have you heard of EPICARE, it’s the best threading device ever. i use thread to do my eyebrows and epicare for the rest of the facial hair. check out the website: http://www.facialhairthreading.com/
